Recentely I visited one beautifull temple in Bangalore, which is less known, but worth seeing.
The temple is right at the bottom of the Nandi Hills. This is having a recorded history of 1000Years and not sure of unrecorded history. There are mainly 3 temples inside the temple complex.
1) Arunachaleshwara
2) Umamaheshwara
3) Bhoganandiswra
4) Yoganandiswara (on the top of hill)
The temple is represents 4 parts of life: Birth, Youth, Family Life, Old age.
The most beautifull part of the temple is the pond "Bringi Teertha" which is decorated with various statues from Indian puran.
Another beautifull part is the Umamaheswhara Temple, with unique architecture..Having many unique pillars and stories depicted on the walls and pillars.
The Front side of the temple is having a huge ground with area to rest. May be used as resting place on fesitvals in earlier dates.
The directions to go here is to take Nandi road after Bangalore International Airport. This is same road leading to Nandihills. But you need to take a right turn after a junction to Nandi temple, left turn towards hill top.
